Metal Club Members are ready for the 2020 New Year as they have been busy building the next batch of Vacation/Security mailboxes. Club members volunteer their time to produce 108 mailboxes each season as inventory for upcoming sales and installations. Club members cut and form pieces with various equipment in the Metal Shop to create the proper shape for each part. Mailbox Assembly Days are scheduled for club members to work in teams to construct the mailboxes into their final form. Over 20 members recently participated in these sessions last December. If you're interested in purchasing a mailbox (installation also available), stop by the SCW Metal Club for more info.
Visit the Metal Club located at 13849 W. Camino Del Sol to meet our members and tour the facility which includes a wide variety of metal-working equipment; milling machines, lathes, welders, sandblaster, grinders, sheet metal, powder coating, foundry, etc. No prior experience is required; numerous classes are available. The club is open Mon - Fri from 8 - 4; weekends from Noon to 4pm. Contact the club at (623) 584-0150 or visit www.scwmetalclub.com for more information.
