General Membership Meeting Minutes

Thursday, February 12, 2026

Meeting called to order by President Lee Schwartz at 11:00 am; 86 members were present (quorum of 50 was met) and 30 guests were present.

A motion to approve January 8, 2026, minutes was made by Bill Wagner #1407, seconded by Rod Flack #1472. Motion carried.

Mike Czaiko reported current club financial information. A question was asked about the current club metal inventory; Mike responded that the club does not track metal inventory.

Old Business: There was no Old Business from the floor.

New Business: The following items were reviewed:

• The Blaze Plasma machine was sold recently. Ken Russell, Tim ‘Sarge’ Raddatz and Rod Flack were thanked for their help with the sale for the club.
• The Rec Center provides member participation data for our club. We have a 54% participation rate and an average of 63 members who attend our General Meetings. Great info for our club!
• Motion detector lights will be installed in the back area of the club by the Rec Center. The tank farm near the front door will be rearranged for better usage.
• Lee reviewed the nominations for the Board positions and asked for nominations from the floor for each position: there were no additional nominations. A motion was made by Bill Wagner #1407, seconded by Michael Fogerty #1710 to close nominations – all were in favor.
• Candidates were offered the opportunity to speak about their background and reasons for running for office.
• A motion was made by Bill Wagner #1407, seconded by Mike Bell #978 to accept all uncontested positions. All were in favor.
• An online election vote will be conducted by the Rec Center for the President (Randy Mekus / Larry Mann) and 1^st Vice President (Kurt Kosauer / Blake Flickinger). Further details will be provided to members next week.

Lee asked for any comments or questions from the floor. A member asked how many members the club has to date: 477 members as of 2/12/2026. There were no other comments from the members.

Lee thanked the Social Committee and all members and guests who participated in the Chili Cookoff Luncheon today. We received 27 pots of chili, cornbread, and desserts for 116 members and guests. Mike Bell reported the winners of the 5^th Annual Chili Contest: 1^st Place BL Cline ($50 gift card); 2^nd Place Ragnar Bergendahl ($25 gift card); 3^rd Place Sam Elbe ($25 gift card).

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 11:25am by Bill Wagner #1407, seconded by Rod Flack #1472 – all were in favor..
