General Membership Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Larry Mann at 11:00 am; 76 members were present (quorum of 50 was met).

A motion to approve March 12, 2026, minutes was made by Mike Bell #978, seconded by Blake Flickinger #2675. Motion carried.

Don Mellum reported current club financial information.

Old Business: There was no Old Business from the floor.

New Business: The following items were reviewed:

Social events for the club:
- February - Chili Cookoff Luncheon
- March – Beardsley Park catered lunch
- July – Informal Summer BBQ at club
- November – Smashburger Welcome Back Luncheon
- December – Sweet Treat Holiday Party
- Cake & Coffee served at General Meetings
Replace Powder Coating Oven – Board approved spending limit of $5K for a replacement unit.
Replace Sandblaster – Board reviewing options to replace.
Plasma Cutting Policy – Posted on club bulletin board and on club website. Certified plasma monitors will be posted.

Items from membership:

No change to club operating hours for the summer.
Signs will be posted on machines being sold by club.
Any policy changes, club updates will be emailed to members during summer months to keep everyone informed.
Request for airbrush/alcohol ink painting classes.
Discussion of how to easily tell if member is certified on equipment.
Knifemaking area requests lighting lower to work surface.
Members can be certified on equipment by demonstrating ability to certified members at no charge.
Interest in a better engraver unit.
Suggestion Box is available for ideas, include name.

Larry wished everyone a good summer. Our next General Meeting will be October 8, 2026, at 11:00am – Social Hall.

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 11:25am by Mike Bell #978, seconded by LeRoy Janzen #2904 – all were in favor.

Cake, coffee, bottled water was served following the meeting.
