Meeting called to order by President Lee Schwartz at 11:05a.m.– 91 members were present (quorum of 50 was met); 27 guests in attendance for the Chili Luncheon.
A motion to approve Jan. 16, 2025, minutes was made by Rod Flack #1472, seconded by Larry Mann #1417. Motion carried.
Joe Faraone reported current club financial data. To date, 503 members have renewed their 2025 dues which includes 31 new members.
Old Business: Lee reviewed the steps taken to repair the 3-Axis Milling Machine. The Board approved a repair of no more than $10K to install a new software console, calibration and warranty provided by Heidenhain tech reps. Lee asked for comments from the members – there was no discussion, the repair will proceed.
New Business: Lee reviewed updates the following items:
2025/2026 Board Elections: Norm Muzzy reviewed the high interest in classes; the club received $4,000 in revenue to date for classes which have been well-received by members. Class instructors were recognized at the meeting. Norm also discussed ‘practice skill sessions’ for members to work on their skills, like welding, etc., with experienced members available as needed for guidance.
Lee asked for any nominations from the floor – no one responded. Lee asked for a motion to close the slate made by Chuck Ullbricht #710, seconded by Terry Hurst #2678 – all were in favor. Mike Bjur #1369 made a motion to unanimously accept the slate of candidates which was seconded by Paul Burrier #634 – all were in favor, the motion passed, and the new Board has been approved for the term beginning April 1, 2025.
Lee thanked the Social Committee for the Chili Luncheon that will follow our meeting. A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 11:30 am by Mike Bell #978 and Chuck Ullbricht #710 – all were in favor.
