General Membership Meeting Minutes

Meeting called to order by President Lee Schwartz at 11:00a.m.– 63 members were present (quorum of 50 was met).

A motion to approve March 20, 2025, minutes was made by Chuck Ulbricht #710, seconded by Paul Burrier #634. Motion carried.

Mike Czaiko reported current club financial data.

Old Business: There was no Old Business from the floor.

New Business: Lee reviewed the following items:

Back Wall Area: This area has become unacceptable with unidentified tool carts, partial project work, material, tools, etc. The only items allowed in this APS right of way are rolling tool carts that have the member’s name and locker payment has been made. Members are asked to remove their items from this area by April 30, 2025; the club will clean up remaining items after this date.
Plasma Machine Use: Members are reminded to clean up the machine after use. Last cut session at 2:30pm to allow time to clean up before shop closure. Sign-out sheet for each assigned member (do not share the key with others who have not signed up). We are considering an agreement for plasma cutters to sign for proper machine use.
General Reminders: Indoor carts not intended to store projects. Signs will be posted in the Conex trailer reminding members to pay for material prior to removing or cutting material. Do not throw away non-working grinders; they may be repaired at the club. Maintenance items should be listed on clipboard near Monitor Desk. Review procedures for proper use of welding equipment.
Plans for a Summer BBQ at the club will be shared at a later date.

Comments from the floor: John Ashton asked how many members we currently have at the club: 524 members. There were no other comments from members.

Our next General Meeting will be on Thursday, October 9th at 11:00am at the RH Social Hall. Enjoy your summer break!

A motion was made to adjourn the meeting at 11:15 am by Rod Flack #1472, seconded by Bill Froehner #675 – all were in favor.
