Meeting called to order 7:55a.m. by President Larry Mann. Present: Blake Flickinger, Don Mellum, Marty Rosauer, Sarge Raddatz, Lee Schwartz, Joe Faraone, Wendi Boos. Absent: Jim Filipiak
Approval of Minutes: Lee made a motion, seconded by Don to approve the June 11, 2026, minutes - all were in favor.
Treasurer’s Report: Don reviewed the club’s financial status in the checking and savings accounts.
General Items: Larry reviewed the recertification process for the new Sandblaster, Powder Coating Oven, and Arclight/Phoenix recert process. Clipboards with contact info are posted at the club.
Certified members can cut small projects for other members who are not certified to help them with their metal artwork. Certified members will indicate ‘Club work’ on the sign-up sheet so the machine hours are tracked, but the member will not be penalized on machine time for helping another club member. All were in agreement.
A discussion took place regarding charging members for the use of the display boards for their metal artwork. It was agreed NOT to charge members for use of the boards. Metal art should fill the boards throughout the year (including summer months), so it makes a nice appearance in the club. Blake and Wendi will review the current display board assignments and make changes as needed.
A Monitor Meeting is scheduled for October 13, 2026, at 1:30pm. Pizza will be served. A review of the powder coating spray gun, sandblaster item approval, a call list for fill-in’s and overall Monitor schedule will be discussed.
The Newcomers Event will be held on October 28, 2026, from 3:30pm to 5:30pm at Palm Ridge. Larry, Sarge, Marty, and others will attend to represent the club.
Sarge mentioned that an e-blast needs to be sent to all members offering the old sandblaster and other equipment to members before they are sold to a third party.
