SUN CITY WEST METAL CLUB

Club Special Board Meeting – April 21, 2022

A Special Board Meeting was called by President James Chitwood on April 21, 2022, at 4pm at the Metal Club to discuss the club’s Mass Production Policy. In attendance: James Chitwood, Dave Price, Wendi Boos, Joe Faraone, Ken Booth, Bill Smith, Alan Green; absent Gary Konop, Lee Schwartz.

The Rec Center Governing Board RR&P’s for Chartered Clubs restrict members from participating in “mass production practices for commercial profit.” The RR&P’s also state that the Club is responsible for controlling all mass production practices.

Board members received an email draft of the club’s proposed Mass Production Policy. James provided background info about how this policy came about from the Rec Center.

A discussion took place about how best to define and monitor ‘mass production’ at the Metal Club. Board members discussed posting this policy without strict guidelines initially so that members are aware and can adjust their work accordingly.

Alan Green made a motion to accept these changes to the draft policy; all were in favor and the motion passed. The revised policy will be posted at the club.

The meeting adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
