Meeting called to order 9:00 a.m. by President Rod Flack. Board members present: Pat Frantz, James Chitwood, Dave Price, Don Mellum, Gary Konop, Lee Schwartz, Larry Myers – Wendi Boos was absent. No guests were present.
The February 2020 minutes were approved without objection.
Treasurer’s Report: The Treasurer’s report will be posted quarterly on the bulletin board and presented at the first general meeting after each quarter. James Chitwood will be reviewing the purchase of QuickBooks POS system as soon as possible.
Facility Update: Rod Flack discussed the Alley repair and/or replacement. The quotes to date have been above the budget allocation approved in the 2019 Rec Center budget. Rec Center officials are now considering how to proceed from this point.
Laguna & Blaze Machine Update: The 6th draft of the temporary procedure for members cutting patterns on the Laguna was discussed and will be posted on the bulletin board.
Village Store Procedure: A new Village Store Procedure was discussed; a motion was made by Gary Konop to approve the procedure. Motion was seconded by Dave Price. Motion passed with all members in favor.
Art Display Board Rotation: The Art Display board rotation drawing will take place on March 20, 2020. This will be announced at the March 12th General Member-ship meeting. Anyone may attend the March 20th drawing.
Powder Coating Procedure: It was requested that a policy be developed for early sign-up and use of the powder coating oven. Larry Myers will follow up with Alan Green to develop this policy.
Rec Center RR & P’s Revisions: The Rec Center Governing Board is reviewing and revising the RR&P’s. The main change affecting the Metal Club will be a push to regulate keeping members from running a business with their sales and to be sure the use of all equipment is fair and equitable for all members.
Elections for 2020/2021 Term: Upcoming elections were discussed. At the opening of the March 12th meeting, the 4 candidates will be given time to speak to the membership. Ballots will then be handed out, collected and counted while the meeting continues. Results will be announced at the end of the meeting.
Roundtable: Lee Schwartz advised a new chop saw has been purchased. It was proposed to order 2 new welders and trade the 2 old welders; price not to exceed $6,000. The Board unanimously approved this purchase; this will be presented to the membership at the March 12th General Meeting.
The Metal Club has requested that the Rec Center investigate the cost of a canopy over the window on the front of the building.
It was moved to adjourn the meeting by James Chitwood and seconded by Don Mellum. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
